A Virtual Dance Tale
A virtual dance experience by Of Curious Nature and the CyberRobbers
„A Virtual Dance Tale” explores the new virtual storytelling possibilities, embarking on a journey into an imagined future by intertwining dance and virtual reality. One immerses oneself in this artificially created world with the help of VR headsets., you encounter dancer avatars that combine fragments of humans and animals within them, narrating stories of origin, migration, and the interrelationship of beings.
Previously, for Digital Motions, choreographer Helge Letonja and dramaturge Anke Euler collaborated with the CyberRobbers, experts in merging virtual reality and theater, to gradually translate the dance language of Of Curious Nature into a technology-based universe.
Viewing the Earth’s habitat from a different perspective, we inhabit a critical zone in the universe, a fragile space prepared for us by plants. In this zone, life generates a variety of creatures. These creatures and their ways of movement have, in turn, historically inspired the art of dance and Of Curious Nature. “A Virtual Dance Tale” brings forth hybrids through the fusion of real and digital bodies, allowing the artistic team to be creatively expressive through dance beyond the human body.
