Jin Young Won
Originally from Seoul, South Korea, Jin, graduated from SunHwa Art high school in Korea. In 2005 she won 5th prize and contemporary prize in ‘Prix de Lausanneʼ where she was offered to join The Netherland Dance Theatre II as apprentice and then was offered a contract for three seasons. After joining Basel Ballet, Cedar Lake Contemporary Ballet Company, Saarländische Staatstheater.
Jin has worked with Jiri Kylian, Ohad Naharin, Johan Inger, Alexander Ekman, Stijn Celis, Marco Goecke, Hans van Manen, Paul Lightfoot and Sol Leon, Mauro Bigonzetti, Richard Wherlock, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, Crystal Pite, Hofesh Shechter, Jo Strømgen, Emanuel Gat, Richard Siegal and Andonis Foniadakis.
In 2017 Jin Young moved to Berlin to work as a freelance performer and worked with kNoname Artist- Roderick Goerge, JC Movement – Jill Corvisier, Ballet of difference – Richard Siegal, Fabien Prioville dance company, Diego Tortelli, Human Field – Dor Mamalia, Dariusz Nowak and Emanuel Gat dance company.
