Tiago Reis
Tiago, born in Almada, Portugal, studied classical and contemporary dance in Lisbon and, at a higher level, attended the Pôle National Supérieure de Danse Rosella Hightower, France, where he had the opportunity to intern at Ballet BC and Ballett Theater Basel. To widen his studies, he also attended several workshops and productions, experiencing various movement languages, such as Gaga, Flying Low and Contact Improvisation, and learning from many renowned national and international artists, namely Olga Roriz, Vasco Wellenkamp, Jiri Pokorny, Marne Van Opstal, and Po-Chen Tsai, amongst others. As a freelance dancer, Tiago participated in the choreographic residency “Eco Sem Voz” by Ricardo Campos Freire, with Companhia Poveira Nós da Dança. For the 2023/24 season, he joined Ballet Preljocaj Junior, performing the revival of “Paysage après la bataille” by Angelin Preljocaj, in France and abroad, while concluding his professional diploma with the PNSD Rosella Hightower.
Since the start of the 2024/25 season, Tiago is a permanent ensemble member at OCN.
