Marianne Menke
Marianne Menke studied photography at the University of Paris VIII, as a guest student at the University of Applied Sciences for Design in Hamburg, and at the University of the Arts in Bremen, where she completed her degree in graphic design with a thesis on traveling circuses. Since then, she has been working as a freelance photographer with a focus on dance and theater, collaborating with organizations such as the Bremen Shakespeare Company, steptext dance project, Of Curious Nature, Mensch Puppe, Blaumeier, Bühne Cipolla, Familie Flöz, and others. She has also been involved in socio-cultural projects with Quartier, Kultur vor Ort, 360° Kulturstiftung des Bundes, and international festivals. She has been collaborating with Of Curious Nature since its inception. In 2021, she received a scholarship as part of the “Neustart Kultur” federal program for Dis-Tanz-Solo.
