Rike Schimitschek

Rike Schimitschek studied design at the University of the Arts Bremen and, after completing her studies, began working as a production assistant at the Bremen Shakespeare Company. Since 2018, she has been working there as a costume and set designer.

Her first collaboration with Helge Letonja took place in 2018 for the event series “Sehnsucht Europa” with the production “Audition for Life/Art.” This was followed by her work on costume design for the steptext dance project production “Turbulence” in 2019.

For the Ensemble Of Curious Nature, Rike Schimitschek designed the costume designs for “Songs of Love and Bones” (2021, Helge Letonja) as well as for the productions “Adrift/The Resonance” (2021, Felix Landerer/Helge Letonja).
