Ivan Cheranev
Ivan Cheranev was born in Moscow and received his first lessons at Nikolai Ogryzskov’s Contemporary Dance School and at the Academy of Classical Ballet Gennady Ledyach in his hometown. In 2008, he moved to the École-Atelier Rudra Béjart in Lausanne, where he became familiar with choreographies by Maurice Béjart. In 2010, Ivan studied contemporary and classical dance at the Frankfurt University of Music and Performing Arts (ZuKT). Since the 2013/2014 season he has been engaged with the Die Theater Chemnitz and danced roles like Yago in Othello, Benvolio in Romeo and Juliet, Benno in Swan Lake. During his theater engagement Ivan had a chance to dance works by choreographers like Marko Goecke, Aleksander Ekman, Julio Arozarena, Peter Svenson, Anthony Missen, Luciano Cannito, Katarzyna Kozielska, Eno Peci, Robert Bondara and many others.
