Leila Bakhtali

As a freelance dancer Bakhtali has worked internationally with choreographers such as Dadodans/Gaia Gonnelli, Gustavo Ramirez Sansano and Hofesh Shechter. At the Leipzig Opera, she performed in Rosamund Gilmore’s production of the Ring of the Nibelungen. Bakhtali choreographs her own pieces in interdisciplinary cooperation. Her choreography “When Wishes Shift” was commissioned by Dance Base Edinburgh and performed at the Robin Howard Theatre in London. In 2016, she collaborated for the first time with steptext dance project in Helge Letonja’s “Zwei Giraffen Tanzen Tango – Bremer Schritte” (Two Giraffes Dancing Tango – Bremer Steps). https://leilabakhtali.com
